Faq

Is this trekking for beginners?

Yes. Although you should know that you have to carry your own backpack with your equipment and the general gear distributed among all the participants.

How much do we walk per day?

The first day is the most demanding because we ascend for 5-6 hours to the campsite with all our equipment and a loaded backpack. The second day we go lightly to the summit and then we descend with the full backpack (with less food) to the base.

How do I travel?

The meeting is at the Tornquist bus station. If it is from Buenos Aires, the best thing is to take the bus service that leaves at 10:20 PM from Retiro. On the way back, he leaves from Tornquist at 10 pm and arrives at Retiro at 8 am on Monday.

Where do we sleep?

In tents that our company provides. You have to bring a sleeping bag and insulation (ask us for rent).

What to bring equipment?

Note that there is a section where you can check what you should bring. Trekking-expedition backpack of between 60 and 80 liters, trekking shoes, sleeping bag and third layer parka jacket are the main ones.

What do we eat?

During the activity we eat fast-digesting and energetic food such as fruit, bars, nougats, nuts, etc. At noon cold food to continue hiking such as sandwiches, cakes, empanadas, salads, etc. At night a strong and hot dish such as pasta with sauce or lentil stew.
