We have high-mountain tents that withstand winds over 100 km/h, sleeping bags rated down to -20°C, backpacks from 45 to 80 liters, aluminum and steel crampons, ice axes, telescopic poles, self-inflating sleeping pads, and certified harnesses and helmets. Gear for trekking in Patagonia, the Mendoza Andes, the Jujuy Puna, Aconcagua and any mountain destination in Argentina.

To guarantee equipment availability you need to pay a 50% deposit of the total when booking. You can do this online, by bank transfer, or in person at our San Isidro office.
The remaining balance is paid at pickup. Without a deposit, the booking is not confirmed — the equipment may be assigned to another adventurer.

For adventurers with an AEX expedition, the equipment can be delivered at the starting point at no extra cost. Coordinate with your guide at least 48 hours in advance.
Returns are due the same day you get back, or by the next business day at the latest. Late returns are billed as additional rental days.
When returning the equipment, a joint inspection of its condition is carried out. If you picked it up at the starting point, the return can be arranged at the ending point or at our office.
Rates are calculated per rental day (every 24 hours from pickup). Both the pickup day and the return day count as rental days.
Adventurers who have booked an expedition with AEX get preferential pricing across the entire catalog.
For high-value items (high-mountain tents, crampons, ice axes, harnesses) a refundable security deposit is required at pickup.
The amount varies depending on the item and is fully refunded once the equipment's good condition is confirmed. The deposit can be paid in cash, by bank transfer or credit card.
Normal wear and tear does not generate an additional charge. Damage beyond normal use (tears, cuts, loss) is deducted from the deposit or billed at repair/replacement cost.
Before pickup, a joint, documented inspection is carried out with photos and both parties' signatures. This protects both the adventurer and Argentina Extrema.
You can transfer your booking to someone else at no cost. If bad weather prevents the AEX trip from going out: 100% refund of the deposit.
