Day 2 - We continue along the path that passes through the Lagunas Madre and Hija and then we will cross towards the Valle del Torre, to meet the path that goes to the camps of the lagoon with the same name. New camp. We will observe and rest next to the lagoon to observe the immensity that lives at the foot of the Adela massifs and the mythical Cerro Torre and its other mountains that surround it.
Day 3 - We leave very early, on one of the longest days, towards the Laguna Toro Valley. We will cross the Agachonas Pass from where we will be able to fully observe the Fitz Roy and Torre massifs. We will follow the Río Túnel Valley upstream to Laguna Toro Camp. We will camp at the Laguna Toro Camp.
Day 4 - We descend through the valley and the conventional path to El Chalten, in about 6 hours approx. End of the tour, in El Chalten.
Long Option (Vuelta al Huemul): We break camp and head towards Paso del Viento. Key day of the trek because it is our gateway to the Patagonian Continental Ice. After crossing the Túnel River, wading or using the zip line (according to the conditions and decision of the guide) we will have to ascend 900 meters. of unevenness to have one of the most impressive views of Patagonia: the ice field. The trekking is very varied, passing through pedrero, pasture, glacier... From there we will descend south to the Paso del Viento del Viento refuge. Camp.
Day 5 - Early we leave for Huemul Pass. Following the lateral moraine of the Viedma Glacier heading south east, we skirt Cerro Huemul through this unexplored region of the National Park. An ascent of about 400 final meters and reaching the Huemul Pass we will have the Viedma Glacier on our right and the Viedma Lake on our left, all at the same time. From there we can see the front of the Viedma Glacier from above, as well as just 15 minutes away, a condorera. Then we will descend the steep slopes of Cerro Huemul to the Bay of Icebergs, where we set up our camp in an old post.
Day 6 - After breakfast. We start our march through the famous Patagonian steppe, always with Lake Viedma on our right. We arrive at the mouth of the Túnel River. After wading on foot, sometimes intense depending on the level of the river, we continue to Bahía Túnel where a 45-minute land transfer will take us to El Chaltén. End of our services.
