Itinerary:

Day 1: Meeting point at the Hotel after 20 hs. Where you will meet the guides and the equipment and bicycle check will take place. Includes two nights' stay, Friday night and Saturday night. At a hotel with heated pool + breakfast.

Day 2: We will start the ride leaving along San Pedro's riverside promenade, taking in the beautiful scenery of the Paraná River from the bluffs and its lookout points.  Our route will head towards Vuelta de Obligado, where we will get to know the town, its quiet way of life, with old houses and historical monuments to the battle fought along that stretch of the Paraná River.

We will head back to San Pedro by another route, crossing through Coronel Castro, a picturesque town we will get to know along this route; it winds through fields and includes a zigzag along the train tracks. Once back in San Pedro we will have the afternoon free, to enjoy the hotel facilities and its proximity to the town center where you'll find several restaurants.

Difficulty:

  • Approx. Km:  60km
  • Roads:  60% paved, 40% dirt.

Day 3:  After a night of rest and relaxation, we will begin the last day of our ride, heading towards the town of Santa Lucia. We will ride through green tunnels formed by the train route among the trees, until crossing through the town of Doyle, which lies on the way to Santa Lucia; it's a lovely town we will get to know as we pass through its center. We will leave the town and take the paved route back to San Pedro by a different path, crossing a stream over a bridge and entering San Pedro via a different route. In town we will relax and say our goodbyes. End of services.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you need prior experience?

Prior experience is required, however it's a light ride, ideal for beginners.

Do we ride with a backpack or panniers?

We ride without panniers; you can bring a small backpack to carry water, a jacket, sunscreen and some energy food (a cereal bar or gel).

Can I do it on a bike that isn't an MTB?

Because of the terrain, we don't recommend it. The bike we recommend for this type of activity is a Mountain Bike with front suspension, of good quality, and it's essential that it's in good condition.

Can I rent a bike to do it?

We don't recommend it,  we require your own bike.

In principle, riding around your own city doesn't work for us as a reference, though it will give you some prior training.  It's also important that you're comfortable on it and know it well. If you talk with us and tell us about your experience and training, if you don't have a suitable MTB  or due to travel-distance issues, we can look into renting you a bike.

What if my bike breaks down?

We carry tools and materials for light repairs, but it's important that your bike is prepared for this type of activity. If in doubt, we recommend taking it to your trusted bike shop for a service.
