A week among sea, islands and trails south of Rio de Janeiro. A paradise of turquoise waters and tropical jungle
Day 1: Meeting in Angra Dos Reis (the group will be assisted with the transfer from Rio de Janeiro airport) before noon. Introduction to the guide and captain, meeting with the group, final checks. We set sail from port around 3 PM. 41-foot sailboat (for 8/9 people).
Sailing from Angra to Gipoia. Instruction and fun on board. Swimming in the sea and snorkeling. Overnight on board
Day 2: We set sail for Piedade. Trekking stretch to Playa del Dentista (about 1 hour). Enjoy the beach. Then a long sailing stretch (2 hours) to Abraão on Ilha Grande. Anchoring and overnight.
Day 3: Disembark at Abraão. Start of the day’s trekking, now on Ilha Grande. Trekking stretches T01 and T02, approximately 13 km. First stretch to Cachoeira waterfall. Then to Praia da Feiticeira, enjoying the beaches. In the afternoon, a walking stretch to Saco do Céu. We head back aboard the sailboat. Overnight at anchor by the beach.
Day 4: Disembark at Saco do Céu. Second trekking stretch on Ilha Grande. Stretches T03, T04 and T05, totaling approximately 12 km. Places and beaches: Funil → Japariz → Freguesia → Bananal → Matariz → Passaterra, finally reaching Sítio Forte, our final destination for the day. It’s a protected bay with calm waters, famous for reflecting the stars at night. We head back aboard the sailboat. Overnight.
Day 5: We sail to Praia Vermelha, a paradise beach on the north of the island. Disembark and trek to Gruta do Acaiá, a sea cave on the southwest coast, famous for an unusual optical phenomenon in which its waters glow with fluorescent green or blue tones. Then a visit to Lagoa Verde, back to Praia Vermelha. 12 km of round-trip trekking. Long sail to Palmas. Anchoring and overnight.
Day 6: From Palmas we sail a short distance to Abraão. There we disembark and do the last trek on Ilha Grande. We visit Dois Rios, Caxadaço and reach the famous Lopes Mendes beach, a pristine paradise nearly 3 kilometers long, completely free of buildings, restaurants, hotels and light poles. Finally we cross to Pouso beach, to the north, where we meet up with our sailboat again. Approximately 18 km of trekking. Back on board, overnight.
Day 7: Free options to enjoy the beaches, go back to Lopes Mendes, Dois Rios, etc. This day is also kept as a buffer in case previous days had to be changed due to weather. Sailing back in the afternoon to Angra Do Reis. Anchoring and overnight near the port. We’ll be able to go ashore and enjoy one last night in town as well. Last night aboard the boat.
Day 8: Handover of the sailboat and end of the program. Free option, or return via arranged transfer to Rio de Janeiro and flight home. End of our services.
A trip to enjoy the sea, the jungle and the trails
A week among sea, islands and trails south of Rio de Janeiro, exploring Ilha Grande by sailboat and on foot.
A paradise of turquoise waters and tropical jungle that opens up among islands, offering us the chance to enjoy both the water and the land. Golden sand beaches, clear water, caves, jungle, small towns and much more.
A dream trip. It combines relaxation with adventure. We sail mostly under motor, and sometimes under sail (weather permitting) in calm waters. The treks are low difficulty, taking in beaches, waterfalls, jungle, caves and lookout points. We also enjoy swimming in clear waters, snorkeling and other possible water activities such as stand up paddle and kayaking.
Trip organized from Argentina with a guide and a captain on board at all times.
Some places we’ll visit: Angra Dos Reis, Abraão, Lopes Mendes Beach, Piedade, Tenório, Fazenda, Flechas, Peixoto, Playa del Dentista, Praia da Feiticeira, Saco do Céu, Sitio Forte, Gruta Do Acalá, Praia Do Pouso...

Recomiendo fuerte!!
