Trekking Colonia Suiza to Pampa Linda - Bariloche - National Park Nahuel Huapi

The everlasting way 

If one could create a survey to determine the ranking of the crossings most talked enjoyable, full, natural and scenically stunning, of the Argentian´s trekking surely this one belongs to the top 10.

Deep valleys filled with a high range of Nothofagus (family trees typical of Andean Patagonian forest), 6 lagoons of paradise, many summits that shook the indomitable spirit of the good old Otto Meiling, winding paths rising, stony undulations with entertaining descent. The image of adventure it self in the ideal scenery.

Leaving the village of Colonia Suiza, about 22 km west of San Carlos de Bariloche and ends in Pampa Linda, at the foot of the mighty Mount Tronador.

Schedule

Day 1: The meeting will be in San Carlos de Bariloche at midday (between 12 and 13 pm). This first day we will have the preparation and review of the equipment. We will take a transfer to Colonia Suiza. The first tranche of walking up would be at the path to Laguna Negra. 4 hours of walking approx. camp next to Arroyo Negro, in the woods.

Day 2: Ascent to Laguna Negra and Italia-Manfredo Segre shelter. We circled the lake and climb the edge of Bailley Willis, where we get great views of the region. We will have a significant drop to the bottom from the valley of Arroyo Lluvuco. Set the new camping. 6 to 7 hours walk approx.

Day 3: Ascent to the Laguna CAB or Lluvú. We circled the lake and climb to the summit of Mount CAB. Descent to Mate Dulce’s Valley, were we find the watersheds and streams births of Uhueco and Claro. We prepare the new camp. 7 to 8 hours walk approx.

Day 4: Ascent of Cerro Cristal then we will descend to Cretton lake. Voyage to Laguna Jujuy and edge of Cerro Capitan. Descent into Mallín Ricardo and finally crossed it down to Laguna Illon or La Carne. Final camp. 8 to 9 hours walk approx.

Day 5: Last fall at Pampa Linda. Crossing and wading of Alerce River. 4 to 5 hours walk approx.. to Pampa Linda. End of our journey. The transfer will be by vehicle back to San Carlos de Bariloche. Accommodation in hostel (included). Farewell dinner.

Day 6: Breakfast. End of our services.
