Ski & Snowboard in Cerro Castor

We propose a week of ski or snowboard group... where the priority is having a good time with friends!

Cerro Castor (Beaver 

Hill) is a mountain located 26 kilometers from the city of Ushuaia, Argentina in the province of Tierra del Fuego. The hill houses the southernmost ski resort in the world, with 24 tracks and circuits that can be used for several months due to the cold climate of the region. The regular season usually develops between June and October, the longest season of the ski centers in Argentina, by its geographical location.

Being the youngest of Argentina and the southernmost in the world, Cerro Castor

 continues, and since its opening, receiving increasing visitors who come to enjoy the snow. Near the capital of Tierra del Fuego, where the sea and the mountains meet is the leading role in a stunning geography, Castor is only 195 meters above sea level and its top rises to 1,057 meters.

With a skiable slope that reaches 772 meters, Cerro Castor has 25 slopes and a snowpark with a total length of 30 km of tracks. Many of them are approved by the International Ski Federation (FIS). Possess an unparalleled quality of snow during the whole season. This occurs for several reasons: the mountain's southern slope, this is the best orientation for this hemisphere, also lies in the parallel 54 ° south latitude, and thus maintains low temperatures and smooth throughout the winter.

Cross-country skiing is the most outstanding modality with circuits crossing lenga forests and also can be travelled with snow shoes.

Schedule: 

Day 1 (Sunday): You can take a flight the same day or prior. Start of our services. Reception at the hostel. Option to start this day with a week of skiing.

Day 2 to 6: Transfer the hill daily, 9 am to 17.30 pm round. return, approx. Means of elevation including for the 6 days. Ask for individual or group lessons and equipment rentals. Coordination and permanent assistance during the six days.

Day to be arranged: Following the ski day, any day of the week, we will be picked up by the hostel to move to the Tierra Mayor Valley and make a unique adventure with sled and dogs, through the middle of the fueguino forest and an exclusive dinner Patagonian lamb. Return night. (optional)
