A unique adventure through the heart of the Andes Range
Riding slowly through a perplexed and infinite mountain range is an experience that usually remains in the deepest of our retinas for a long time. The great valleys covered with intense greens that overflow the vegas, the border passages covered with sand and robust patches of snow, the mighty waterfalls. Full of reasons to join this adventure . Days of ascent and descent, longer days, days when high passes are reached almost on the border with Chile. Days of rest next to a lagoon or by unique hot springs. Beginning and are placed in the city of Malargüe. The ride departs and ends in the small town of Las Loicas, in the heart of the southern Mendoza mountain range, a corner full of magic.
Horse riding expedition of several days. Mules, arrieros and baqueanos on permanent assistance. Overnight stay in tent in the mountain.
Day 1: Meeting in Malargue. Lunch, preparation and presentation of guides. Transfer by route 40 to the south. In this section we will recognize the characteristic geography of the adventure that is about to begin. We will pass through Manqui-Malal, Bardas Blancas and we will enter through Rio Grande valley to Las Loicas, our starting point for the great adventure. Snack. Saddles + technical explanation. 2 hour ride until our first camp. Dinner and overnight in tent.
Day 2: We will ride to Cajón Grande hotsprings. Free afternoon to enjoy the hot springs. Overnight.
Day 3: Third day of riding to high valleys almost by the border with Chile. Overnight in a country house
Day 4: We descend through another valley to Las Loicas, concluding in a circular circuit. We leave the horses, last photos, and we get into the vehicle that returns us to the town of Malargüe, crossing that mythical fragment of route 40 from Bardas Blancas. Arrival to Malargüe. End of our services.
Note 1: All horses are properly trained and prepared to ride in mountainous areas and our local guides have the best conditions and knowledge of the place. It is not necessary to have previous rider experience.
Note 2: Active programme with medium-high demand and suitable apt for over 13, and under 65 years (cases outside these age ranges will be evaluated). There are steep climbs and descents, but there are not places with risk of major falls.
Note 3: Program subject to climatic, geographical or political conditions. Changes can occur in function of circumstances and diverse factors. The decisions will be in charged exclusively by the local guides and tour leaders.
