Proposal

Viewpoints of Aconcagua -

The area of ??the Quebrada de Matienzo (the last valley on the Argentine side, in the Central Andes area), very close to the town of Las Cuevas, has a great attraction, with great landscapes and hills that have not yet been climbed to date. In this proposal we offer you the possibility of walking through this beautiful and famous ravine (reminiscent of the Argentine aviator Benjamin Matienzo) and then ascending to one of the summits of Cerro Pedro Zanni, over 4,200 meters above sea level, one of the summits that are to the east..

The expedition is designed for people who want to carry out more intense ascents and also as an initiation to the exits with height above sea level.

ITINERARY:

Day 1: Meeting in the city of Mendoza. Meeting with guides, equipment check. Transfer  to Las Cuevas. 3100 masl. Lunch on the way. Camp in the caves in a mountain refuge.

Day 2: Trekking to Quebrada de Matienzo, where we will make a camp, very close to the base of the Pedro Zanni hill. Rest and short walks through the area of ??the ravine.

Day 3: We start very early towards the summit, to try to complete almost 1000 meters of unevenness. At the top, the views are impressive, of the border line with Chile, of Cerro Tolosa and even of a part of Aconcagua. Descent to the camp, rest and another night in the mountains.

Day 4: Disarmed the camp and walk back to Las Cuevas. Transfer back to Mendoza. End of our services.
