Canoening through Paraguay River-Visiting Bañado La Estrella

We offer you 3 days to travel among the famous  Argentine Litoral. The first 2 days will be canoeing through Laguna Oca, Paraguay River until we reach Herradura lagoon.

On the last day we will visit  Bañado La Estrella; the third South America wetland after Pantanal and Iberá wetland. Over there, we will be astonished by its undisturbed natured fed by the waters of the Pilcomayo.

Day 1: meeting at Formosa bus station  at 11am . We take our transfer to Laguna Oca biosphere reserve of the River Paraguay where we will have our first lunch and take our canoes heading to the city of Herradura. Along the way, we can do some bird-watching in the area, navigating the Paraguay River and the Caibota stream. Snack. We continue our canoeing until  we reach our campsite where we will have our dinner.

Day 2: Breakfast. We get up early to keep on canoeing through Herradura Lagoon. Lunch. In the afternoon, we continue our trip  to  Herradura village where we will stay in cabins overnight.

Day 3: Breakfast. We left the village early in our transfer heading to Las Lomitas, where we will  enjoy the beautiful scenery of Bañado La Estrella,  350 kms away from Herradura . Arrival to the wetland.  We will have the chance to recognize the place with one of our local guides. At the end of the tour, we will have lunch in a typical restaurant. After lunch, we will return with our transfer to Formosa city to take the bus services to Buenos Aires. Arrival at Formosa bus station: 5pm. End of our services.
