Wonders of the Coast

We propose 3 days of adventure and exploration in one of the 7 natural wonders of Argentina, Bañado de La Estrella. It is the third wetland in America after the Pantanal and the Esteros del Iberá. Formed by the overflow of the Pilcomayo River. You can see 200 species of birds and numerous other animals (among them the curiyu snake and alligators). The visitor. There we will be dazzled by its intact nature fed by the waters of the Pilcomayo.

ITINERARY

Day 0 (previous)
Reception at the airport or bus station in Formosa
Transfer to downtown hotel (not included).

6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. City Bike Night Tour (optional extra, consult).

Day 1 - 08:30 a.m. Transfer to Las Lomitas (300 kms.). Accommodation in shared cabins. Free lunch. In the afternoon we will visit an aboriginal community of the Pilagá ethnic group, we will go hiking through the Chaco mountain, guided by members of the same community, who will show us the plants they use to make their medicines, crafts and will tell us about their ancestral customs. Later we will continue our trip to "El Vertedero" where we will enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the sunset in this sector of Bañado La Estrella. Night in Las Lomitas. Free dinner.

Day 2 - 04:30 a.m. We will depart to the heart of Bañado La Estrella, after 2 hours of travel on dirt and sand roads we will arrive at Fortín La Soledad, after having a delicious breakfast, with our headlamps we will begin navigation through one of the 7 Natural Wonders of Argentina, the sunrise will surprise us in the middle of the Bañado, at the moment when the birds begin their activity and the entire Bañado is full of life, the Sun, the trees, the champales, the water... will cause hundreds of contrasts of shapes and colors that will remain engraved on our retina. To replenish energy we will have lunch delicious typical foods prepared with great care by local people. In the afternoon we will return to the cabins in Las Lomitas. Free dinner.

Day 03 - 05.30 Hs. The alarm clocks will ring to get up, prepare our equipment and go to Bañado la Estrella, to welcome the sunrise sailing among trees with whimsical shapes that look like works of art in the middle of the Bañado, surrounded by hundreds of birds and fish in a frame of impressive natural beauty. Noon will find us having lunch in Las Lomitas ready to return to the City of Formosa, where we will arrive at approximately 7:00 p.m. End of services

How many people are the groups?

Generally between 6 and 15 people.

From and up to what age can you participate?

We suggest ages 11 and up to 65. Basically not accurate. You have to walk on sand and trails.

What are the essential requirements that are requested?

That they are not sedentary people or that, if they are, they train until the date of departure. Training, in any of its modalities, works very well.
Let them know that they are going to sleep in a hostel with basic services and amenities.

What is eaten?

In these programs we have lunch on excursions, in a lunch system or sandwiches, cakes, empanadas. Dinners are in a dining room-restaurant in the town. Breakfasts at the accommodation.

Do I carry a bag, a large backpack, a small backpack... what do I carry?

Each one must carry their personal luggage in a large bag or backpack to leave at the accommodation. During the excursions it is advisable to carry a small backpack to carry water, sunscreen, coat, etc.
