At the end of the World
Where the Andes has dropped to 1000 m and is placed horizontally, from East to West. Where the salt waters of the Beagle Channel coexist with sweet lakes. Where land has left seat the world's southernmost town. Where nature has left an incredible world of shades within the last portion of Patagonia.
The kingdom snowy Ushuaia is the scene of this great adventure between treks with snowshoes in the snow to navigation across the Beagle Channel from an escalation through frozen waterfalls up to a downhill skiing with the city down below. An experience not to be missed, know one of the wild places that remain on planet earth.
Schedule:
Day 1 (Sunday): from morning meeting in the city of Ushuaia. Transfer to hostel located in downtown Ushuaia. Chek In and time to settle. In the afternoon will visit the city on the outside, making a walk along snowy trails, option: to the viewpoint of Cerro del Medio, to get the best views of the Beagle Channel, Navarino Island and the city. Recognition of hills, valleys and the entire region. Returning: Snack, rest, welcome dinner and overnight.
Day 2 (Monday): This day we will travel to Tierra del Fuego National Park, to know stunning sea environment along the Andean Patagonian forest-Antarctic in winter situation. Lago Roca, End of Route 3, Lapataia Bay, Ensenada Bay. Later we will lunch and return in the afternoon to the city. Dinner and overnight
Day 3 (Tuesday):Ski Excursion to Central Martial. We ascend the lift and get great views of the city and the Beagle Channel. Snowshoe Hike to the base of the glacier and Mount Martial with the Godoy. Return in the afternoon.
Day 4 (Wednesday): Lake Tour through the Beagle Channel with sightings of cormorants, sea lions and Bridges islands all over the lighthouse Les Eclereaurs. At noon we will transfer to Tierra Mayor Valley for the activity of climbing frozen waterfalls, ice (if weather permits). Returning to Ushuaia into the night. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5 (Thursday): New day of snowshoeing and hiking through forests and snowy trails. We will climb to Laguna Esmeralda, a wonderful frozen mirror. Enjoy the site and walked over the lagoon. In the afternoon Return to the Tierra Mayor Valley. Way back to Ushuaia.
Day 6 (Friday): Day skiing at Cerro Castor, with transfers, lifts and equipment included. Classes are borne by each in case of need. We will return to the city in the afternoon to have our farewell dinner.
Day 7 (Saturday): Breakfast. End of our services. To continue, options for: classic skiing, cross country skiing, snowmobile ride, walk with dogs (sled), other.
Optional: We will prepare an itinerary under the requirements of those who wish to take advantage and stay a bit longer in the following days.
Option 2: take a few days of the program to join the group of ski week (go skiing or snowboarding to the hill)
