Skiing & Snowboard in Cerro Castor (Castor hill)

The Cerro Castor is a hill located at 26 km from the city of Usuhaia, in the province of Tierra del Fuego. This hill has the most southern l skiing center of the World. It provides 24 courts and circuits which can be used during several months of the year due to the cold weather of the region. The usual Season takes place between June and october and it is the longest court of all the skiing centres because of its Geographic location.
As the youngest and more AUSTRAL skiing center Worldwide Cerro Castor keeps on receiving more and more visitors since its opening who enjoy its snow and skiing slopes. Cerro Castor is located very near to the capital city of Tierra del Fuego where the sea and the mountains get together to form a stunning geography. It is placed at 195 mts above the sea level and its Peak reaches 1057 mts. 

With a skiable slope of 772 mts, this Hill distributes in 20 km 24 skiing slopes with different requirements and areas out of the courts. It stands out the background skiing with circuits that go through lengas Woods which can also be  passed over with snow rackets
Contrary to some beliefs , the Cerro Castor has very good weather and the best powder snow due to the stability of its temperature having one of the most extensive seasons in South america.
High tech elevation Systems, a school of skiing and snowboard and all the services that complements itself with the infrastructure and landscape of Usuhuaia make of the  Cerro Castor a full and complete skiing center in the furthest extreme of the world.

Planned itinerary:

Day 1 (Sunday 12th) we can fly this same day or the previous one. Beginning of our services. Welcome and transferring from the airport to the hostel. After midday we will make (optional) a Lake excursion through the Beagle Channel. In this trip we will see the Faro del fin del mundo (LIGHTHOUSE OF THE END OF THE WORLD)and the Bridges islands. Fauna sight seeing. Returning in the evening-night.

Día 2 –to 7:daily transferrings to the hill:  9 am departure and returning at 17.30 hs. Elevation Systems included during the six days. Ask for individual or group classes and equipment rental. Coordination and permanent assistance during the whole trip.
Day to convene (optional) after the skiing day  some day of the week we will be taken to the Tierra Mayor Valley to enjoy a unique adventure with sleighs in the middle of the Tierra del Fuego Woods and with an exclusive dinner. Return in the night.
Saturday 18 (day 7): last day of skiing in the hill. Dinner and farewell night. You can fly that same day or the next day.

Note:

Specifications: the accommodation will be according to disponibility and conditions. The rooms are private and they can be triple, quadruple, etc. Private bathrooms in some of the rooms or shared in others. Ask for the options available. Those who make their reservation first will have priority.
